1.       Start by going through your photo album and pull the pictures that most excite you at the moment.   Select the paper that goes with the pictures and lay the photos on the scrapbook paper. Try and walk way for a while and going searching on the internet.  Yeap!It’s free and fast.

3.Don’t waste your scraps use them ~ create a lovely picture frame with four hand-cut strips of paper.There isn’t any set rules that you to have a paper cutter or that the frame can’t be out of different materials.By using scraps of ribbon and buttons you can create a great frame.  Use what you have, and add some complexity and depth without breaking your pocket book. I got an idea in recent times to use a scrap piece of material I had left over from making a top.I only cut it a little larger then a 12 x 12 piece of cardboard.Glue sprayed the cardboard and laid the material right on of the 12 x 12 piece, folded the sides over.  And presto!A limited variety of design.Your family and friends will consider you’re a genius.   Just add your scrapbook stickers and scrapbooking supplies.

4.       Secret Ingredient ~ Punch up your layout by placing the title and border down the center.The mixture will surprise and delight people who look through your scrapbook.A few extra details for the title to a cut out circle and putting the letters around the edge of the circle.No one ever said our that a title had to be in a straight line.

5.       Matting techniques in your scrapbook layout.Save yourself “cooking” time by matting using more then one photos on one strip of scrapbook paper.Craft the hallucination of photo mats by placing photos close to one another.This works in particular well when working with complementary colors.

6.Obtain further use out of enhancements by trimming and using portions of the photo.You will not only capture more on your layout, but you will also tell a wonderful story.  Do you have to have a face in every photo?  Absolutely, not !  Sometimes, just a picture of a leg kicking the soccer ball in to the goal is a picture worth a thousand words and tells a story by itself.

7.How about getting together with some of your scrapbooking club memebers.Each of you can make the same design 5 times and by giving one of your designs to your friends, you will each in turn have a different design layout with it’s own exceptional style.We don’t have to be the original creator of each design layout in our album.  Sharing ideas with your friends only inspires others and spreads the wealth.   Make sure you bring your scrapbook supplies and scrapbook stickers.

Just try to think outside the box and dare to do something different.  Get post cards, hotel card keys, door hangers, leaves, dried flowers, nylon mesh melon sacks.You’ll be surprised at the creativeness and uniqueness with our one of a kind scrapbook layouts you can come up with when using out of the box embellishments.Check for things that might be hiding in Dad’s garage for sand on a beach and tear the edges of it.What a remarkable idea for a beach themed scrapbook page layout.My friends and I recently created a hammock by using the nylon mesh from some watermelons that we purchased at the store.My friends thought it was one of the freshest idea’s and wondered where, I purchased the nylon from.When I came clean and revealed my true secret, my girl friends just about died laughing, but truly thought it was a stroke of genius.We never know when that inspiration will hit us, so always be on the look out.
